Four-time Olympian (Beijing 2008, London 2012, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020). 2016 World Championships team gold medalist. 2019 US champion.

Tokyo will be Amro’s fourth Olympics, his first representing the USA. Previously he had competed for Egypt. Amro is married to Isabella Isaksen, NYAC modern pentathlete Olympian in 2016. His brothers, Omar and Emad, competed for Egypt in the modern pentathlon in the 2016 and 2000 Games, respectively. Amro began competing in the modern pentathlon in 2001, following Emad’s performance at the 2000 Sydney Games. In 2017, Amro joined the US Army as part of the US Army World Class Athlete Program in Colorado Springs, CO. 

Amro finished in 25th place overall, with a total of 1358 points, in the men’s modern pentathlon at the Tokyo Games.
