World champion 2019, US record-holder (80.31m/263’ 6”), eighth place 2016 Rio Games, two-time NCAA champion (2015, 2016).

Tokyo will be Deanna’s second Olympic Games (2016 Rio, 2020 Tokyo). Her 80.31m throw in winning the Olympic Trials make her the second longest thrower of all time. In high school, Deanna was an accomplished softball player and threw both the discus and the shot. Her remarkable athletic success comes despite having only one kidney. She is coached by her husband, James Lambert.

DeAnna finished 8th overall, with a mark of 73.09m/239’ 9”, in the women’s hammer throw competition of the Tokyo Games.
