Three-time Olympian (Beijing 2008, Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020), eleven-time national team member (under-23, 2006; Senior, 2007, 2009, 2013-15, 2017-18; second double sculls 2017 World Championships, 3rd double sculls 2018 World Championships.

Although Tokyo will be Ellen’s third Olympics, this will be the first Olympics in which she competes in the quad sculls. She finished fifth in the double sculls at the 2008 Beijing Games and 6th in the double sculls at the 2016 Rio Games. In her spare times, she works as a personal rowing and fitness coach.

Ellen finished 10th overall in the women’s quad sculls at the Tokyo Games, along with USA teammates Meghan O’Leary (NYAC), Cicely Madden, and Alison Rusher. The American women finished 4th in the “B Final” in a time of 6:30.03 to secure the 10th place overall finish.
