US champion 2017, two-time silver medalist US championships (2018, 2019). Three-time US indoor weight throw champion (2013, 2014, 2016).

Tokyo will be Gwen’s second Olympic Games (2016 Rio, 2020 Tokyo). She holds a personal best of 77.78m (255-2), from June 2018. She holds the world record in the weight throw of 25.60m (83-11 ¾), which she set in March 2017. Gwen was an alternate for the 2012 London Games. While attending McCluer High School in Florrisant, MO, Gwen played basketball primarily, participating in track and field in the off-season.

Gwen finished 11^th overall, with a mark of 71.35m/234’ 1”, in the women’s hammer throw competition of the Tokyo Games.
