Tokyo will be Maddie’s second Olympic Games (2016 Rio, 2020 Tokyo). She began playing water polo at the age of 11 through the Olympic Development Program. Athleticism runs in her family: her father is a former professional baseball player (Toronto Blue Jays: 1986-89; New York Mets: 1989-90), her mother played soccer at Rutgers, and her sister Alex also played water polo for UCLA (2012-16).

Madeline, along with her fellow American teammates, secured the gold medal for the USA in women’s water polo at the Tokyo Games.
