Tokyo will be Michael’s first Olympic Games. As a senior at Johnsonburg High School, Michael won the javelin competition at the 2012 New Balance Outdoor Nationals. He holds the Penn State record 77.94m/255’ 8”, which he set as a senior in 2017. He lives and trains at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in California.

Michael did not achieve a mark in the Group A qualifying round of the men’s javelin competition of the Tokyo Games and did not advance to the final.
