She began competing in triathlon as a child, inspired by her mother’s performance in an IRONMAN race. She ran NCAA Division I cross country and track while a student at Cornell.

Taylor finished 16th overall in the women’s triathlon at the Tokyo Games, with a time of 2:00:59. Also, Taylor and her teammates, Katie Zaferes (NYAC), Morgan Pearson (NYAC), and Kevin McDowell, secured a silver medal for Team USA in Tokyo with an overall time of 1:23:55 in the Mixed Relay.
